Frequently Asked Questions
What does a home inspection include?
A home inspection is a visual evaluation of a home’s major systems and components — roof, exterior, structure, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, insulation, ventilation, and interior — performed to the ASHI Standard of Practice. Our goal is to help you clearly understand the home’s condition so you can make an informed decision.
How long does a home inspection take?
Most inspections take 2–4 hours, depending on the home’s size, age, and condition.
How much does a home inspection cost in the Sacramento area?
Pricing depends on the home’s size, age, and any add-on services (such as a sewer scope, thermal imaging, or a pool & spa inspection). We’ll give you a clear quote up front — just call or request an inspection online.
When will I receive my report?
Most reports are delivered the same day as the inspection through our digital reporting system — or within 24 hours for larger properties.
Should I attend the inspection?
Yes — we encourage it, so you can ask questions and understand the home’s systems, maintenance needs, and our findings firsthand.
Is every finding a deal-breaker?
No. Most homes have findings. We help you understand which items are routine maintenance, which are safety concerns, and which deserve prompt attention.
Do I need an inspection on new construction?
Yes. New homes can still have construction defects, installation issues, or incomplete work. An inspection helps identify concerns before closing or before the builder’s warranty period ends.
Why hire an InterNACHI-certified inspector?
InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspectors complete extensive training and adhere to a recognized Standard of Practice and code of ethics — a consistent, professional process you can rely on.
What makes Team Solis different?
Victor Solis brings years of leadership as a call-center director, so his inspections are organized and detail-oriented and his communication and follow-through are exceptional — clients always know where things stand.
Do you offer drone and aerial roof inspections?
Yes. Victor is a licensed FAA Part 107 drone pilot, allowing safe aerial evaluation of roofs and other hard-to-reach areas as part of an inspection.
What is a sewer scope inspection?
A camera inspection of the underground sewer line that can reveal blockages, root intrusion, cracks, or damaged piping before they become costly repairs.
What is mold testing?
Mold testing samples the air or surfaces to determine whether elevated mold levels are present — useful when there are moisture concerns, musty odors, or visible signs. Because moisture is usually the underlying factor, we note moisture-related conditions as part of our process.
Do you inspect pools and spas?
Yes. Pool and spa inspections are available as an add-on service — evaluating visible equipment and safety-related conditions of the pool or spa and its systems.
Do you inspect luxury and estate homes?
Yes. Larger custom and estate properties often have complex systems, multiple structures, and specialty features. We tailor the inspection to the property and take the time each home deserves.
Do you work with REALTORS?
Yes. As an affiliate member of the Sacramento Association of REALTORS® (SAR), we work closely with agents across the region, providing clear information that helps buyers make confident decisions.
I’m a first-time homebuyer — what should I expect?
Buying your first home can feel overwhelming. We explain findings clearly, answer your questions, and help you understand which items are routine maintenance versus significant concerns.
What areas do you serve?
